Heparin sodium apis are mainly used to produce standard heparin
preparations and low molecular weight heparin apis, and then to produce low
molecular weight heparin preparations. Heparin sodium apis can be subdivided
into heparin sodium apis intermediates and refined heparin sodium apis. The
purity of the intermediate of heparin sodium is relatively low, so it can not be
used as the standard heparin preparation material directly. The refined heparin
sodium raw material is relatively pure, and its preparation technology and
process are complex. It is used to prepare and produce standard heparin
preparations and low molecular weight heparin raw materials.
The titer of heparin sodium raw material is the active unit (IU) per milligram (mg) of heparin sodium raw material, and countries require a titer range of 150-200IU/mg. In 2015, the global demand for heparin sodium was about 47.10 trillion units, a year-on-year decrease of 11.40%. In 2019, the global demand for heparin was 19.50 trillion units, a year-on-year increase of 1.85%. China's heparin production reached 18.90 trillion units in 2015 and 23.00 trillion units in 2019, a decrease of 8.40 percent year-on-year. From the perspective of the demand for heparin, the output of heparin sodium raw material in our country occupies 46.47% of the global demand, and the output of heparin raw material in our country ranks first in the world.
